Why Dilation Matters

We dilate to see the full picture of your eye health.

As part of a comprehensive eye examination, pupil dilation is a very important diagnostic tool that reveals the status of your optic nerve and retina. It is critical to preventing, diagnosing and treating eye conditions that could potentially lead to vision loss.

Please note, your near vision may also be temporary blurred when we dilate your pupils.

Bring your sunglasses!

Your eyes may be sensitive to light for a few hours after your exam. Sunglasses can help, so bring them if you have them!
Our reception team will also have disposable sunglasses for you.
